JONATHAN ISLAS

 

Jonathan Christian Islas Porras was (born on November 15, 1979 in Mexico City, Mexico. He started his acting career in theatrical shows in Colegio Anglo Americano, after graduating from Palo Duro High School in Amarillo, Texas in 1998. While in college at The University of Texas at Austin, he became involved with theatre arts and graduated with a bachelor's degree. He later joined TV Azteca's acting school, CEFAT. In 2005, he joined Telemundo.

 

He began his acting career at a young age in plays such as Aladino y La Onda Vaselina at the Anglo American School of Mexico City. Years later participated as a model in advertising and by 2003 he studied art at the Center for Azteca TV acting training. His first television work were: Sin Permiso de tus padres and Agua y Aceite.

 

For three years she acted in several productions of TV Azteca such as: Enamórate (2003) with a Yahir y Martha Higareda, La heredera (2004), Soñarás (2004) y La Vida es una Canción (2004). By 2005, his talent is backed by Telemundo, which delved into several chapters of Decisiones (2006-2010), and his debut in soap operas for this channel was with Amores de Mercado (2006), recorded in Colombia, next to Paola Rey and Michel Brown.

 

Now based in Colombia, worked for a time for the Colombian soap opera Padres e Hijos (2007). In 2008 made ​​his film debut with the Mexican film Deseo (2008) from Leopoldo Laborde. In 2009 he had a brief appearance in the Telemundo telenovela Mas sabe el diablo (2009), with Miguel Varoni, Gaby Espino, Jencarlos Canela and Karla Monroig. Later that year he made as Richard Galeano on the soap Bella Calamidades (2010), with  Danna Garcia and Segundo Cernadas. In that time the rumors goes that hi was in relationship with his co-worker actress Danna Garcia, but this rumor was denied when he was very committed to his current partner, the controversial actress Carla Giraldo, during filming of his latest telenovela in Colombia.

 

His debut starring in the miniseries got inspired by real events La Diosa Coronada (2010), along with Carolina Guerra and Arap Bethke, there performed the role of Kevin. Jonathan also had a guest appearance in the production Ojo por Ojo (2010) by Telemundo. Los Herederos del Monte (2011) starring in the role ofLucas del Monte, along with Marlene Favela, Mario Cimarro and Natasha Klauss.

 

In 2011 he joined the telenovela Flor Salvaje with the role of Abel Torres as "Capo" withTony Dalton, Norkys Batista, Maria Elisa Camargo, Gregorio Pernía, Jose Luis Resendez, Monica Spear and Roberto Manrique. From 2012 to 2013, Luciano Alvarado plays in the soap opera El Rostro de la Venganza. While filming a series El Rostro de la Venganza he started a relationship with the talented Venezuelan actress Dayana Garroz.
